Do I need a domain?

On the internet every website has its own name which is known as a domain name. In order to have a website it needs to have a domain so you can tell people the address where to visit your website.

Alongside our hosting packages we are able to offer you domains at competetive prices. Domains cost £6.66 for a .co.uk domains and £9.99 for a top level domain or TLD (such as .com, .net, .org)

Ordering Options

Option 1 - Buy a new domain name

Register a new domain with us - if you do not currently have a domain name, you can register one with us.

Option 2 - Point domain name to us

Leave your domain name with another provider and just point your nameservers to ours so you can manage your DNS in your control panel. You will need to set your nameservers to:

Option 3 - Transfer your existing domain name to andthenhost.com

Transfer in your existing domain name - If you already have a domain with another provider you can transfer it in to us.

For Nominet domains (ending in .UK) please ensure your current provider has changed the tag on your domain name to 'EXTEND' before starting the process below.

Please note that .com, .net, .org, .info, .name and .biz domain names cannot be transferred within 60 days of registration or 60 days of expiry with another provider. After this period your provider will need to unlock the domain in order to transfer to us.
